The whole farm to yourselves. Perfect for large groups, those wanting a bit more privacy, or any occasion that deserves something truly special. Includes exclusive access just for your group.
Picnic Add-On
You bring the provisions; we'll provide the table and the view

To extend your stay after the tour for 1-hour, choose the picnic add-on at checkout. After the tour you'll head to your table up on the deck overlooking the entire farm and the beautiful California Coast. As you sip and eat with your group, share your photos, decide on your favorite animals, and make sure to start planning your return.
It's BYO (bring your own) everything: we don't sell any food onsite. And before you ask: yes, alcohol is permitted for those over 21.​

WHAT TO EXPECT
What happens on a tour

Arrive and meet your guide
Park in the designated parking area on the perimeter road and then walk down to the barn where you'll be greeted by your tour guide. We'll gather to give you a quick introduction to the farm, review animal safety protocol, and then head into the first of three pastures. Good shoes recommended — you're walking through real pastures.

Walk the pastures
Your guide leads you through three separate pastures, sharing details and introducing each animal by name — yes, all 40+ of them have names. You can engage with the guide and ask questions, or wander and experience the animals at your own pace. Hand-feeding is included and highly encouraged. Kisses and cuddles are in high-demand. We'll help you get photos you actually use, so make sure to have your camera ready.

Meet the Herd
Beyond the alpacas, you'll encounter Eileen and Inky our llamas, Belmonte and Caudio our Peruvian Paso horses, Timmy the black sheep, Pepe the peacock, Audrey the goat, and Archie the water buffalo — among others.

The Farm Store
Before you leave, make sure to head up to the deck to check out our sprawling ocean view. While up there, browse through The Farm Store, where you'll find a diverse collection of alpaca goods, stuffed farm friends, and keepsakes to take home. On your way out, feel free to grab an orange from one of our trees.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a reservation?
Yes — reservations are required for all tours. We don't accept walk-ins. Book online to secure your preferred time slot.
Is this good for young kids?
Absolutely. Alpacas are gentle and patient, and this is one of the best family experiences in the Santa Barbara area. Earlier time slots work best for little ones.
Can I bring my dog?
We're sorry, but no pets are allowed on the property. Alpacas are sensitive animals and unfamiliar animals can disrupt the herd and other guests.
What should I wear?
Closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended — you'll be walking through real farm pastures. Dress in layers; Carpinteria mornings can be cool and afternoons warm.
